About Me

About Me

For as long as I can remember, writing has been my default coping mechanism. Writing is how I best express my thoughts and emotions.

In this season of my life, I spend my time homeschooling (only 4 students now!) and mentoring my children, enjoying my grandchildren, journaling, making scrapbook videos, and investing in my Paparazzi business ($5 jewelry!).

I'm also the President of our small community's annual Freedom Festival, one of the longest-running festivals in Indiana! Our children help run the festival.

I've enjoyed the art of writing since elementary school.

This 2-part book is written by 7 moms. each with large households, sharing their secrets on logistics and relationships.

AUGUST 2018

One of more than 20 Christian authors who wrote the book

Candid Conversations: Real Women. Real Life. Real Faith.

Description of the book:

"Life isn't always sunshine and chocolate.

It's hard.

Being a Christian doesn't change that.

In Candid Conversations you'll read real life stories from real Christian women, and how God has used their struggles to either refine their faith or used their faith to help them weather the storm. From struggling with doubts to dealing with the loss of a loved one, these women lay it all out. They aren't afraid to get real, because they know God can use their struggles to inspire, encourage, and reach others all for His glory.

Heather Hart, founder of the #CandidlyChristian movement, encourages readers to be honest and look for ways they can relate to each story. Then take that mentality into their everyday lives and start having candid conversations with those around them. Because when we share our struggles, when we are real, that's when we truly point others to Jesus.

So what are you waiting for? It's time to get Candid."

SEPTEMBER 2012

I self-published my first e-book

Tugboat: My Voyage Out of Obesity

Which is my experience with a 60-day juice fast.

Description of the book:

This book is 15 years in the making! I know firsthand the frustration and hopelessness of trying to lose excess weight and regain my health. I've experienced the pain and despair of chronic sickness and the fear of what's to come.

In this book, I invite the reader to jump aboard as I candidly share my voyage out of the murky depths of sickness and obesity back into the sparkling waters of health and vitality, in a relatively short amount of time. You will be encouraged and motivated in your own quest toward wellness.
